Mission Statement

Trinity’s Mission Statement

 

The Church’s Commission is the same for all churches, large or small. It is stated several times in scripture i.e. Matt 28:18-20

18         And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

19         "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

20         "teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.  (NKJ)

 

Combined, there are five elements that make up Christ’s commission to His church.

Going – The Action

The World – The Audience

Evangelism – The Angle

Discipleship – The Application

God’s Presence – The Anchor

 

The difficulty here is that, while pointed and direct, this is also vague in that it leaves out the how. This is good, however, because it leaves each church to examine her place of service and best produce a plan to accomplish her part of His commission.

COME, GROW, and GO

It is the mission of every member of Trinity Baptist Church to first, Come to Christ and invite others to Come to Christ as well. Every member is to Come to Trinity regularly and to participate in her activities.

 

It is further the mission of every member of Trinity Baptist Church to Grow in Christ and to help others to Grow in Christ. Every member, by Coming to Church regularly and participating in her activities, will Grow in Trinity by the study of the Word and fellowship with other believers. Thus, better understanding God’s commission to His church

 

Finally, it is the mission of every member of Trinity Baptist Church to Go with Christ and Go as Trinity inviting others to Come, Grow and Go.
